FAQ
What does a torque rheometer measure?
It records the reaction torque on the rotors or screws during mixing, together with temperature over time, to study dispersion, flow behaviour and structural change during processing.
What is the torque range and accuracy of the CTR-300?
Torque range 0-300 N·m, accuracy 0.05% F.S.
What is the maximum heating temperature?
Temperature control range is ambient to 350 °C or 500 °C, with ±0.5 °C accuracy.
Which data can be acquired simultaneously?
Temperature, torque, speed, pressure and energy. Speed range 0.1-200 rpm stepless (accuracy 0.1% F.S); melt pressure range 0-100 MPa (accuracy 0.1-0.5% F.S).
Why can it simulate production in the lab?
The torque rheometer has a structure similar to real production equipment and needs only a small sample, so mixing and extrusion can be simulated in the laboratory — especially useful for optimising formulations and process conditions.
What software is included?
Measurement and control software, mixer data processing software, extruder data processing software, and polymer melt viscosity measurement data processing software.
How can the test capability be extended?
It uses a modular, building-block design and can be combined with a mixer module and other units to form torque rheometer systems for different process types.
