DHE-15 Micro Conical Twin Screw Extruder
The DHE-15 is a micro conical twin-screw extruder for polymer research, teaching laboratories, and small-scale validation. It melts, mixes, and continuously extrudes small sample quantities, making it suitable for valuable, scarce, or early-stage material systems on a laboratory bench or in a fume hood.
Equipment Identity and Structure
Equipment model: DHE-15 micro conical twin-screw extruder.
Conical twin screws with variable pitch and variable diameter for micro-mixing powders, pellets, and solvent-based systems.
The mixing chamber opens through 180 degrees for observation, cleaning, material changeover, and routine maintenance.
Optional downstream extensions can support pelletizing, micro injection molding, film casting/drawing, and spinning.

Applications
Polymer blending, formulation screening, and process-window exploration.
Micro-compounding studies for composites, rubber, and recyclable materials.
Experimental development of food, feed, solid-dispersion, solid-liquid blending, and pharmaceutical material systems.
Research workflows that connect melt compounding to pelletizing, micro injection molding, film, or spinning evaluation.
Operating Instructions
Before startup, check the power supply, heating zones, screws, and mixing chamber; confirm the equipment is clean and free of residue.
Prepare approximately 5-15 g of sample, load it into the chamber, and lock the chamber.
Set temperature, screw speed, and runtime in the rheology control software, then select single, timed, continuous, or constant-speed mode.
Monitor process data and rheology curves, recording torque, temperature, pressure, and speed changes as required.
Collect the product after the run and proceed with pelletizing, micro injection molding, film, or spinning evaluation when needed.
After the equipment cools to a safe temperature, clean the screws and mixing chamber to prevent carryover.
Research Use Note
The DHE-15 can serve as the upstream micro melt-compounding device for research sample preparation. For example, related HA/PLLA work used the DHE-15 together with the CDM-15 for micro melt compounding and subsequent characterization. Specific performance conclusions should be based on the complete experimental system and follow-up test results.
